Team Profile

Together, we can boast a combined experience of over 50 years in the housing sector. All three of us worked together previously as a team for one of the largest housing associations in the Midlands in a fast paced environment. As a natural progression, we decided to fulfil a dream and go into business on our own. Benburys is the result.

Tracy Rattenbury

Tracy started working in housing over 25 years ago. Her career began taking calls in a housing association call centre, handling calls including, dealing with repairs, maintenance, contractors and tenancy issues. Tracy quickly rose up the ranks to become Call Centre Team Leader before progressing to the position of Voids & Allocations Manager. Her responsibilities included managing allocations and voids across 5 regions of the Midlands, with a portfolio of over 10,000 properties. In January of 2012 Tracy passed her final exams which enabled her to become a full member of ARLA (Association Residential Letting Agents) & NAEA (Association of Estate Agents) Tracy’s strengths lie in strategy, legal aspects and property management.

Helen Bennett

Helen has over 26 years experience in housing. starting as a purchase ledger assistant in the accounts department. Helen's potential was quickly identified and her career progressed to include the specialist roles of Housing Officer and later that of Senior Lettings Officer. Helen is experienced in dealing with a wide variety of tenancy management roles and has a clear understanding of all aspects of housing. In addition to being an experienced social housing practitioner, Helen has shown her adaptability in transferring her skill to the private sector. Helen is an excellent negotiator, her particular industry strengths lie in tenancy enforcement, accounts and arrears management and rent collection.

 

Sophie began her career working within a large housing association advice centre, where she gained vital knowledge and experience in the areas of voids and allocations, as well as being an experienced practitioner in drawing up contracts, obtaining references and securing tenancy deposits. Sophie is a peoples person and relates well to both landlords and tenants alike.  Sophie's particular strengths lie in the areas of housing applications, housing benefit, rent collection, rent guarantees, preparation of inventories, interviewing and viewings.
